In Georgia, many homes have crawl spaces. Your crawl space is one of the most important parts of your home to protect from moisture. A moist crawl space is likely caused by a poorly installed or missing vapor barrier. Vapor barriers can cover the ground only, or be used to completely encapsulate your crawl space or waterproof your basement walls.

We provide installation and replacement of vapor barriers of various thicknesses and quality. A basic 6 mil black vapor barrier is the most economical, but doesn't last long or provide much protection. Our white 10 mil vapor barrier provides better protection and brightens your dark scary crawl space. Our premium vapor barriers come in 14 mil and 20 mil thicknesses. Premium vapor barriers are 100% reinforced, not 10% reinforced like most other liners. They're made of virgin plastic and antimicrobial so mold or mildew growth is prevented.

Many companies and builders simply throw sheets of thin plastic on the ground and call it a "vapor barrier". Over time, the sheets move around and leave parts of your crawl space dirt exposed. This increases your radon levels and allows moisture to evaporate, causing mold, sagging floors and high humidity. High humidity in your crawl space not only causes mold. It drastically increases the chances of wood rot, wildlife infestations, termites and rodents. A poorly installed vapor barrier infects your home with allergens and mold spores that affect your health.

Sagging floors are caused by moisture getting into the framing of your home, such as floor joists. Crawl space encapsulation is the most effective way of preventing floor sagging. To prevent existing sagging floors from getting worse or to level your floors, we install support beams and permanent floor jacks.
